Our Manhattan Clam Chowder recipe is from my grandparents restaurant, Gufford’s Chowder House, a Jacksonville Beach restaurant from the 1940’s - 1950’s. People came from Jacksonville and all over Duval County to enjoy this delicious soup. Made with a rich tomato base, crisp bacon, potatoes and a few other well kept secrets.
